Reviewer Rating: * * * 'David's Promise' by Polly Bolack was delightfully refreshing as light romance book. The
heroine is completely outrageous and continually finds herself in
unusual predicaments. She blithley carries on as if nothing is out of
the ordinary. As a matter of fact, she is determined to enact one
outrageous deed a day. She captains a boat named, 'The Outrageous
Lady." She is a minister's daughter that has refused to attend
services. Due to a recently uncovered secret in the attic she discovers
that there is a mystery surrounding her birth. The
romantic male lead is a conservative trial lawyer that has recently
decided to answer a delayed call to be a pastor. He has a father figure
in his life that's waiting with open arms to welcome him back into the
law office. He has also sworn to God to mend his philandering ways and
abstain from all romantic involvements for a full year..... he even
throws his little black book into a roaring fire! Imagine his delight
when he finds out the delightful red haired captain is his landlord!! Copyright © 2001 by Grabbermcgrew |
