Benjamin Mitchell gave away the combination number on his school locker and then later on finds something in there that frightens him and puts Ben in a precarious position. He doesn’t know whom to trust. His best friend seems to have the motive and the situation and Ben leads the police to blaming his best friend.
Not sure how to handle the situation Ben decides to take his parents into his confidence. Does his father believe him? Was Ben covering up for someone else? Who else might have had access to his locker? Did Ben steal it? Unless Ben finds the answer, he may be held responsible or someone else might get hurt and what if he is being set up and becoming someone else’s patsy. Taking care of his own welfare first becomes very important.
This book had a great lead in then it slowed and I wondered when we were going to get to the action. When we got into it, the pace quickened and gave a valuable story. The characterization is superb of today’s teenagers.
